大人の科学

Okayyy, so remember when I mentioned I needed a new camera? I ended up joining the photography club and getting obsessed with film.Yes, film. A bit old style, but hey, it's fun! We can only develop in 35mm black and white, though, so yes it does kind of suck (the color film chemicals are toxic, and they only have equipment for 35mm film).

Well I'm going to be using a plastic camera to upload photos onto my blog. It was a D.I.Y, and pretty cheap, but I
LOVE it to death!

Otona no Kagaku, Vol. 25

THE ULTRA SUPER GAKKENFLEX.
..yeah, you heard that right !

The instructions were easy to follow. Even so, I screwed up a lot, and I had to unscrew the cameras about
3 times. AND AUGH, THE SPRING FOR THE SHUTTER. I wanted to stab that thing so badly, but I reaaallyy wanted to use the camera, ... and so I ended up twisting and flexing the tiny spring in every way possible so that it would do what it was made to do. When it finally worked, I was able to finish it without sweat, hahaa !

And oh yes, when it was finito, I was
full-level hypertastic. This is my first twin lens camera! The waist-level viewfinder is über amazing. SERIOUSLY!

I swear, I will update with more posts and pictures, but for the meantime, you'll have to make do with my stupid run-on sentences and rants.

Isle Jacobsen

It's been a while! I've been getting lazy lately and delayed my blogging altogether. Well.. I was thinking back to my last post, and I thought I had to be reasonable. It's not like I'm going to visit Japan anytime soon, sooo~ I found some rain boots that I could get my hands on quickly. Thing is, THEY'RE OUT OF MY SIZE! My feet are size 5½ - 6... *sob*

Maybe you'd like them, though. So.. here they are :

(Click on the picture to see it in detail; )
If you want them, Check if OAK has your size; they're pretty hot
There are 15 colors in this style, but
only 3 colors are available @ OAK.

I have to admit; I love the sleek Dr. Martens-look for Ilse Jacobsen's rain boot, but they're so expensive! Thank god they didn't have my size.
My wallet would cry!

Yay! I finally finished the autobiography I was assigned for homework
I have a few more things to do. After I finish, I'll need my beauty sleep...

Rainboots

I survived the first week of my sophomore year --- Those first three days, Wed-Fri, felt like forever! Not only did I end up with a whole stash of homework for the weekend, the majority of my teachers are malicious! I wonder what it's going to be like in college. Thank god I still have two more years to get ready for that.
Enough with the ranting...
To lift my spirits, I went browsing for things that i need (okay well, want) this upcoming fall/winter. I definitely want rain boots, but I'm not sure if I should wear them in snowy weather!
Will i slip?

While I was looking through some Japanese fashion magazines, I found some cute rain boots featured in the July 2009 issue of Spring :

They're so fashionable, aren't they!? I like the ones with a heel best~

That's all for now.. I have to finish up my homework!
*Puts on thinking cap*

Heat Stroke in NYC.

Firstly, the introductions:

My name is Tina.
NYC.

I'm not heading anywhere this summer, so with the excess amount of time that this has left me, I decided to finally start a blog of my own.

Thankfully, NYC is festive enough to keep me from being bored to death (and perhaps will provide me enough entertainment to keep this blog going).

There really is no specific topic that I'll blog about. Just my recent obsessions, posts about the blogs I follow, and --- once in a while, fashion-related information that catches my attention.

Before I start, I'm in need of a camera!
Hopefully, I'll get one soon.

*I'll update with more pictures of cameras
that I've fallen utterly in love with.
